My grandfather – Melvin Norment – wrote a book. “Compiled” a book is probably more accurate. In it he reveals a rich family history and an African-American family more interconnected than is common in our modern world. This website is my attempt to strengthen those familial bonds as well as continuing his work.

Right now this website is limited as it only contains the lineage of William Thomas Norment – Melvin Norment’s father and my great-grandfather. Once I fill out the family trees on this site I plan to expand my research.
